As a lover of dance my whole life, I have gone above and beyond to explore a majority of the dance studios in Chicago, trying to find a place where I don't feel overwhelmed by the professionals around me, but inspired and encouraged that I can grow to become one of those incredible dancing beings. Latin Rhythms has become exactly that place. I have been taking salsa and bachata classes at this studio for just over a year, and never have I been so committed to something for so long! All of the instructors are magical dancers, who are welcoming in a way that really creates a family atmosphere - this studio is not just a place where you can learn the art form of Latin dance, but you walk away with friendships, bonds that last forever, and a whole new network of people to go out dancing with! Dance, as with other art forms, is an activity where you will get out of it what you put in, but the instructors at Latin Rhythms will make sure to invest in you so that you can be the best dancer you want to be!

Aside from salsa and bachata, they offer samba, yoga, body isolations, ladies styling, cumbia, pachanga, mambo, and tons of other styles. They have awesome socials every 2 weeks, where anyone can pop in for an introductory class for $5 and stay after to dance with like-minded fun students. Many of their dancers perform on teams, and everyone goes out to places all over the city to support each other!

And on top of being an amazing dance studio, the space can be transformed into a unique venue for events and weddings.

Moral of story: if you are looking for a place to learn to dance salsa in an open and welcoming atmosphere, this is your place. And if you do it to pick up women, the more power to you :)
