Von Heidecke’s School of the Chicago Festival Ballet

Kenneth Von Heidecke’s enterprise is certified by legendary Balanchine ballerina Maria Tallchief, who’s served as his advisor since the dissolution of Chicago City Ballet. As a result, Von Heidecke’s technical approach is heavily influenced by the athletic, American style Balanchine pioneered; each winter, this school produces one of the area’s biggest productions of The Nutcracker.
