Aside from the name, there’s little that remains of this iconic Chicago restaurant since it received a glittering face-lift by hotelier and Studio 54 cofounder Ian Schrager and world-famous chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Today’s scene of hobnobbing, well-heeled patrons hardly resembles last year’s image of a restaurant fading into a forgotten relic. Newly appointed executive chef Moosah Reaume seamlessly churns out Vongerichten’s trademark farm-to-table dishes such as roasted beets with housemade yogurt, and whole-wheat flatbread topped with spinach, goat cheese and herbs. 1301 N State Pkwy (312-787-3700).
