One of our favorite brunch options for this summer is just up the stairs at this Taylor Street spot: Davanti Enoteca's rooftop patio. Try the soft-cooked, truffle oil–scented egg yolks suspended in a slice of toasted bread—or a jar of burrata for breakfast. Scott Harris’s restaurant combines elements of the Purple Pig (a menu full of schmears and charcuterie) with the Italian sensibilities of his Mia Francesca’s chain. At dinner, uovo in raviolo, a lone ravioli stuffed with spinach, egg and ricotta, gets a spoonful of brown butter to finish it off; thin, crispy focaccia is filled with an addictive, soft cow’s-milk cheese; and formaggio sottobosco, essentially a cheesecake parfait, tastes surprisingly sophisticated and light.
