Glazed and Infused, Scott Harris's doughnut shop, opened this morning at 6:30am in two locations: 1553 N Damen Ave in Wicker Park, and 813 W Fulton Mkt in the West Loop. Both openings were met with huge protests by activists who oppose high-fat foods. Just kidding!
Basically, Glazed and Infused is just like Doughnut Vault and Do-Rite Donuts. These are doughnuts by fine-dining chefs (Christine McCabe and Tom Culleeney), mostly served only in the morning. The twist here is that the Wicker Park location will re-open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights to serve late-night doughnuts from 10:30pm through 1:30am. Which is a brilliant idea, though people like me, who crave doughnuts every day at 3pm, are still pretty much screwed.

MAPLE BACON LONG JOHN bar of golden goodness layered with real maple glaze & maple bacon
PB&J homemade raspberry jam filled bismarck with crunchy pb glaze
CREME BRULEE vanilla creme brulee filled bismarck with bruleed sugar crust
APPLE FRITTER crispy nuggets of yeast dough laced with cinnamon and fresh apple, and blanketed vanilla bean glaze
VAN CAKE CHOCOLATE FROSTED vanilla cake with cacao berry ganache & dark chocolate vermicell ("sprinkles")
RED VELVET cocoa buttermilk cake with cream cheese frosting
BACON "STICKY BUN" CRULLER cake bar topped with bacon brown sugar caramel & pecans
LUSCIOUS LEMON lemon cake filled with yuzu curd topped with lemon glaze and candied zest
OLD FASHIONED the classic spiced buttermilk cake with vanilla bean glaze filled crevasses
Glazed and Infused at 1553 N Damen Ave will be open Mon–Wed 6:30am–10:30am; Thu 6:30–10:30am and 10:30pm–1:30am; Fri 6:30am–10:30am and 10:30pm–1:30am; Sat 8:00am–2:00pm and 10:30pm–1:30am; and Sun 8:00am–2:00pm. Glazed and Infused at 813 W Fulton Mkt will be open Mon–Fri 6:30am–2pm; Sat, Sun 8am–12:30pm. Glazed and Infused at 929 W Armitage St will open in July (so they say).
