Local chefs and industry experts come together at the annual local and sustainable food conference. Thursday focuses on finance and innovation in the health food industry, Friday focuses on food trading and policy and Saturday is dedicated entirely to the Good Food Festival. The festival includes cooking demos from chefs like Rick Bayless and Rob Levitt and the Good Food Marketplace where you can stop and shop for local foods. Plus there's more than 150 exhibitors, including farmers, food company execs, and beer and wine purveyors, who will conduct lectures, presentations and workshops over the course of three days. The festival is also offering seats on the Urban Farm Bus Tour, a trip to three different farms to learn about the most innovative urban agriculture projects that work to alleviate hunger and build a sustainable Chicago food system.
