A "healthy" burger joint? Though seemingly impossible, that is Rev Burger's aim. The local chain (there's another in Carol Stream) touts its hormone- and antibiotic-free grass-fed beef, its baked fries and organic frozen yogurt as a healthier alternative to the Shake Shacks and Smash Burgers of the world. A noble endeavor, and one we could get behind if only the burgers tasted good. Instead, the patty is as dry and tasteless as paper and the brittle bun crumbled on first bite. The fries and the yogurt, though? Pretty decent. So stick with that and the vast menu of craft beers and you're golden.
