There was quite a hubbub when London House finally opened in 2016. Sitting on Michigan Avenue and the Chicago River, the historic landmark building is now part beautiful hotel and part high-end restaurant. Plus, LondonHouse features Chicago’s only tri-level rooftop bar. Guest rooms are spacious and include free WiFi, large work stations and, of course, large flat-screen TVs. Many rooms also have unbeatable views of the city skyline.

Other amenities at LondonHouse range from the 24-hour fitness center to flexible meeting spaces. High in the sky, the on-site restaurant offers up an experience like no other, with reimagined regional cuisine and cocktails from a terrace overlooking the Chicago River.

There was a line to get in when we got there. Make sure you have a reservation if you're coming on a weekend, otherwise you'll have to stand and it gets pretty crowded. The area by the fireplace is quite nice. Overall, the view here in incredible. One of the best views of all the rooftops I've been to thus far.

The drinks here are pretty good. The food, however, is priced interestingly. The toro was $42 and definitely not worth that price, but the risotto and arctic char were $14 each and unbelievable. You should definitely ask your server what the best things are the menu are to get, and they'll point the items out.

This is for the rooftop that you have to buy tickets on Tock for....

The view is 5 stars....amazing river views of our beautiful city.

Service...1 star. Server was absent, not knowledgable, name it, bad. The organization in this place is almost comical if it wasn't so annoying. No one knows what's going on. They tried to sit 4 of us on a love seat...that later they sat 2 people at.

Food was ok. The biggest problem with trying to eat dinner here was the tables are REALLY low and there's only like couch style to sit at them.

This place is ONLY good for the view...maybe a beer. The cocktails were all over the mark as well.
