Time Out says

This film fest dedicated to the black LGBTQ+ experience returns for its tenth year, kicking off with an opening reception featuring the sounds of CallMeJimme, KenChris and Storie Devereaux, plus a special preview performance by Pearl Troupe Chicagoand. The festivities continue over the weekend with more than 20 film screenings, including picks like Why You Have To Be Black & Gay, Womb Envy, Permissible Beauty and Kokomo City—the directorial debut of two-time Grammy-nominated producer, singer and songwriter D. Smith. Sunday's event is a fundraiser to support and honor Ugandan Americans who escaped persecution in their home country.
