Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio

During the heyday of frilly Victorian architectural styles, Wright designed and lived in this structure that still looks modern by today's standards. He continuously changed its interior to test his theories, and from that work came his legendary Prairie-style, characterized by nature-inspired elements, horizontal lines and low-pitched roofs.

If you love history and architecture, you would know Frank Lloyd Wright. A self confessed nerd, I've been to this place a couple of times bringing visitors. There is a tour if you pay a nominal fee, however you can still walk around the area and inside the gift shop. It is actually located just outside Chicago, in Oak Park. The whole street has beautiful historical homes and Oak Park has a really quaint main street.
