During the heyday of frilly Victorian architectural styles, Wright designed and lived in this structure that still looks modern by today's standards. He continuously changed its interior to test his theories, and from that work came his legendary Prairie-style, characterized by nature-inspired elements, horizontal lines and low-pitched roofs.
