Time Out says

The Newberry Consort—which presents deeply-researched music from the Renaissance, Baroque and other historical periods long since passed—hosts this yearly holiday concert with historical flair, in which a group of performers recreate scenes from 17th century Mexico City at Christmastime. Hear songs that would have been performed in convents (like "Missa Bonae Voluntatis," pulled from a set of 16th century Mexican choir books) and joyful folk tunes played with traditional instruments, with supertitles broadcast in both English and Spanish. Concerts will take place this year in Evanston, Lakeview and Little Village.
