Time Out says

After two records of songs built around sleazy characters with questionable world views, singer-songwriter Alex Cameron's latest album shows some hints of genuine self-reflection. Wrapped up in the same ’80s-inflected synth-pop arrangements that gave Forced Witness its gritty charm, Miami Memory is still filled with songs written from other points of view (a recent divorcé, an addict reckoning with their vices), but the sentiment behind each track seems more personal than satirical. Returning to Thalia Hall, Cameron is joined by his long-time saxophonist and business partner Roy Malloy, with support from Holiday Sidewinder and Emily Panic.
