Beyond the Gate: Silver Apples + Magik Markers

As Danzig sang in the Misfits, "I can get there on my own, walk me to the graveyard." Well, he's not playing this eerie mini-fest, but the gig is held in a cemetary. Electro-psychedelic pioneers Silver Apples headline, after Wrekmeister Harmonies, who did this same event last year. Noise-rock act Magik Markers, with former Pilsen ties, rub guitar strings in wonderfully dirty ways. The Numero Group's Rob Sevier and Yoga Records' Doug McGowan spin records throughout the night. "The show will take place near the Mausoleum," notes the most tough-ass press release ever.
