An extension of the Frequency Series, a weekly program of contemporary and experimental music hosted by Constellation, this six-day festival showcases some the city's (and the world's) most exciting and innovative musicians. The bulk of the programming takes place at Constellation, including duo sets from Bill Nace and Haley Fohr (Feb 22), the live debut of Matchess's new LP Sonescent (Feb 23) and performance of the music of jazz composer Julius Hemphill by Tomeka Reid, Sam Bardfeld, Curtis Stewart and Stephanie Griffin (Feb 26). The Renaissance Society hosts a free-to-attend performance by Swedish composer and sound artist Hanna Hartman on Feb 24. Find a complete list of Frequency Festival programming on the event's website.
