You'll still have more festival in you come September, no?
The Hideout Block Party has announced a sweet lineup of performances for the first weekend of September, Friday 5 and Saturday 6, the gap between
North Coast and
Riot Fest. The two-day fest outside the Hideout on West Wabansia features headliner Death Cab for Cutie, who have been chipping away at an eighth album. The War on Drugs and Mac DeMarco also return to Chicago for welcome summer appearances. The Dismemberment Plan (who hit Riot Fest last year), the Funky Meters, synth-pop duo Sylvan Esso and the Handsome Family (who Andrew Bird covers on his new tribute album
Things Are Really Great Here, Sort Of) fill up the bill. Two-day passes cost $65.
