Half tender piano crooner and part heady electronic technician, James Blake continues to blend both sides of his musical personality on his new record, Assume Form. Inspired by his relationship with The Good Place star Jameela Jamil, Blake's latest album gushes with the excitement and unfettered emotions of falling in love—even when it gets corny, there's a earnest quality to the romantic trappings. Blake also enlists some famous friends (including Travis Scott and André 3000) to flesh out his tracks, giving him a chance to flex the skills he's developed producing hip-hop tracks over the past few years. London singer-songwriter Khushi, whose forthcoming album was mized by Blake, opens the show.
