Time Out says

Fusing free jazz with more melodic big band licks, trumpeter Jamie Branch finds catharsis in both the chaos and structure of her latest music. A veteran of the Chicago jazz scene, Branch returns in support of her latest release, Fly or Die II: bird dogs of paradise, which was written during her European tour in support of her previous record. The songs, some of which are based on improvisations, turn a critical eye on America's current state, solidified by some pointed lyrics. At this special homecoming show, improvising duo Dan Bitney and LeRoy Bach serve as the opening back, joined by guest players Branch and saxophonist Rob Frye.
