Seminal L.A. rapper, MC, and producer Madlib returns to Chicago for Pitchfork Festival with Freddie Gibbs, a technical beast and anointed savior of Death Row Records–era gangster rap. Before the fest, Madlib hits up The Mid with a TBA guest. Will it be Gibbs? Or perhaps DOOM back from across the pond, considering Stones Throw Records founder and trusted confidant Peanut Butter Wolf played some new Madvillain tracks at the rainy Do Division this year?
