Mavis Staples + Kelly Hogan

Octogenarian gospel legend Mavis Staples has been on a roll ever since her 2010 collaboration with Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy, You Are Not Alone. Her most recent release, 2019's  We Get By, found her collaborating with singer-songwriter Ben Harper, who penned a collection of songs that strive to find common ground in an increasingly polarized world. Staples performs at Thalia Hall and FitzGerald’s in support of Beyond Hunger, a local organization that provides hunger relief and programming to residents of 13 zip codes on Chicago West Side and in the surrounding suburbs.
