Time Out says

Every September, the stars come out to Millennium Park and celebrate the beginning of opera season with a free outdoor performance. Attendees will get a preview of Lyric Opera's upcoming slate of shows, include The Barber of Seville, Luisa Miller and other productions. Music director Sir Andrew Davis will conduct the Lyric Opera Orchestra and Chorus, with appearances from Marianne Crebassa, Lawrence Brownlee, Adam Plachetka and Krzysztof Bączyk. Show up early because this free night at the opera almost always fills up quickly.
