In perhaps the coolest show held in Evanston in some time, the precocious art-rockers from Southend are back with their third album, Field of Reeds. They've transcended their old method of fusing Wu-Tang Clan, the Fall and Edward Elgar into mightily impressive, darkly dramatic orchestral-prog-new-wave. Nowadays, you'll find them crafting delicate, austere, borderline-classical post-rock out of woodwind and strings. Fans of Björk and the Knife take note.
