Why?

Why? stands out like a sore thumb in its label Anticon Record, as one of the only indie-rock bands surrounded by hip-hop label-mates. Frontman Yoni Wolf spits his lyrics in a fashion very similiar to rap though, so perhaps their partnership with Anticon is one that is more well-fitting than we imagine. Nevertheless, the composition of the trio's music and lyrics are dark and personal, which sets the Oakland trio apart from the normal hipster indie folk band.
