Chicago 420 Weekend Takeover
Prohibition THCafe (2113 S State St), April 18–20

This multi-day event packs in a range of activities, from morning “wake and bake” sessions to late-night smoke hangs. Food plays a central role, with infused wing and catfish plates available throughout the weekend. Music, vendors and live performances round out the experience, creating a festival-like atmosphere. Entry details vary by event, with some portions free and others ticketed.

CAMP 420 by DISPENSARY 33
Pizza Lobo - Andersonville (5457 N Clark St), April 19 at noon

This annual celebration doubles as a 10-year anniversary party for Dispensary 33. The camp-themed event includes interactive activations like rolling stations, photo booths and “campfire” sessions, alongside music, food and drinks. 420 Shakespeare
The Second City (230 W North Ave), April 20 at 4pm

This comedic performance puts a hazy spin on a Shakespearean classic. Four actors take the stage, with one performing after consuming a notable edible dose, leading to unpredictable results. The show mixes improvisation with classic theater in a deliberately chaotic format. This show is strictly 21+.

Peekaboo Radio: Smoke Show
Sleeping Village (3734 W Belmont Ave), April 20 at 9:15pm

This burlesque and performance art showcase leans into a retro, sultry aesthetic. The event features a lineup of performers alongside music and additional offerings like tattoos. 

A Very Special Edition of Chromabeats & Friends
DMen Tap (2849 W Belmont Ave), April 20 at 8pm

This one-night event highlights Chicago’s live hardware music scene. Performers bring analog sounds and experimental sets to the stage in an intimate bar setting. Of course, the DMen kitchen will stay open late for when the inevitable munchies strike.

Outside the Lines Presents: 420 Paint & Sip

This casual art night invites guests to create self-portraits while enjoying music and drink specials. A vinyl DJ set runs throughout the evening, adding to the laid-back environment. All materials are provided, and the session is open to all skill levels.
