Forget staring at the night sky looking for shooting stars: this summer, you'll want to keep an eye out for broomsticks, golden snitches and Hogwarts itself.

A spectacular new Harry Potter drone show is landing at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview for just two nights, turning the suburban sports venue into an open-air celebration of the Wizarding World. Scheduled for July 24 and 25, DroneArt Show: Harry Potter will send 1,200 synchronized drones soaring overhead, recreating iconic scenes and characters from the beloved film series through formations of light choreographed to the franchise's score.

Rather than retelling the story on a screen, the hour-long production will use hundreds of illuminated drones to paint the night sky with familiar imagery from the films. Expect floating symbols, magical creatures and memorable moments brought to life above the stadium, accompanied by music. The experience is designed for lifelong Potterheads and curious Muggles alike, making it an easy pick for families looking for a summer night out.

The show begins at 9pm, but gates open at 7pm, giving visitors plenty of time to settle in before darkness falls. (Organizers recommend arriving early.) The production runs for about 60 minutes, including an intermission, and the outdoor venue will also have food, drinks and official Harry Potter-themed merchandise available for purchase. The event is open to all ages.

Whether you've read every book, watched every movie more times than you'd admit or simply have a kid who still dreams of receiving a Hogwarts acceptance letter, this limited-run spectacle offers a chance to experience the Wizarding World from an entirely new perspective—one where the magic unfolds hundreds of feet above your head.
