Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s 12-year-old daughter will take the stage at The Summer Smash for her first-ever festival performance.

North West of Kardashian fame is officially booked for her first-ever music festival performance.
The 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West is set to take the stage at The Summer Smash, the massive hip-hop festival returning to SeatGeek Stadium just outside Chicago from June 12–14. Her debut slot comes as part of a lineup that’s otherwise stacked with some of rap’s biggest names (Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert and Skrillex, to name a few), which makes the inclusion all the more attention-grabbing.
North West is slated to appear on the festival’s opening day, Friday, June 12, alongside a bill that also includes Chicago heavyweights like Chief Keef and G Herbo, plus breakout and buzzy names like Sexyy Red and Lucki.
While details about her set are (unsurprisingly) under wraps, the booking itself is a very public step into performance territory. North has already dipped into music, mostly appearing on tracks tied to her father’s recent projects, but this marks the first time she’ll be performing in a full-scale festival environment.
And it’s not just any festival. Now in its eighth year, The Summer Smash has grown into what organizers describe as the largest independently owned hip-hop festival in the world, drawing more than 100,000 fans across the weekend and pulling in a mix of world-renowned headliners, local legends and emerging artists. Beyond the headliners, the 2026 lineup includes Lil Baby, Baby Keem (appearing as a special guest), BigXthaPlug and a rare joint set from Bladee and Yung Lean.
All of it takes place about 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, where SeatGeek Stadium turns into a three-day, multi-stage sprawl complete with carnival rides and food vendors. Tickets went on sale today, Tuesday, April 14 at 2 pm, with multiple tiers ranging from general admission to VIP and beyond.
As for North West, it remains to be seen whether this is a one-off moment or the start of something bigger, but one thing’s certain: it’s not exactly a low-key debut.
