The film and television actor Rob Lowe has penned a solo stage show inspired in part by his two published memoirs, and he’ll perform it at the Cadillac Palace Theatre for a single show on May 19.

Stories I Only Tell My Friends: Live, which takes its title from Lowe’s 2011 book, is described as a “peek behind the curtain” at Lowe’s Hollywood career, spanning ’80s films like The Outsiders, St. Elmo’s Fire and About Last Night… to his more recent roles on much loved TV series The West Wing and Parks and Recreation. Lowe debuted his new show in a one-off performance in Mesa, Arizona in May 2017, and later brought it to stages in Salt Lake City and Denver.

Tickets for Lowe’s Chicago appearance are $25–$80, and go on sale Wednesday, December 13 through Broadway in Chicago (broadwayinchicago.com, by phone at 800-775-2000, in person at Broadway in Chicago box offices and via Ticketmaster).
