2. Sample whiskeys from 60-plus brands at the WhiskyX, a mecca for drinkers of all things barrel-aged. The one-night festival also features food, live music and unexpected brand activations, all taking over the United Club at Soldier Field beginning at 6pm; tickets are $75.

3. The stage-horror specialists at WildClaw Theatre begin their 10th year with Future Echoes, a new play by Paul Foster about college friends reuniting for a dinner party where all is not what it seems. Tonight’s opening performance is at 7:30pm at the Den Theatre, and tickets are $30.
