1. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra brings its prog-metal of holiday standards to Allstate Arena today, with shows at 3 and 8pm. Tickets start at $48.

2. The Music Box Theatre is screening films by Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki all week, with showings of My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away today. Tickets are $11.

3. See Burning Bluebeard, the true story of a 1903 post-Christmas fire in Chicago, at the Neo-Futurarium. Tonight’s show is at 7:30pm and tickets are $30.
