1. In the delightful, long-running weekly show That’s Weird, Grandma, the actors and educators of Barrel of Monkeys bring to life stories crafted by Chicago Public Schools students in their writing workshops. Tonight’s all-musical revue, Stories That Groove, is your last chance to catch the Monkeys before a two-month hiatus. It’s at 8pm, and admission is $15 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under.

2. Check out a large and largely unseen trove of photographs documenting Chicago’s blues scene in the ’50s and ’60s at “Amplified: Chicago Blues.” The exhibit at the Chicago History Museum is open today from 9:30am to 4:30pm, and is included in the price of museum admission.

3. The Chicago Latino Film Festival continues today with screenings of features and short films throughout the day at the AMC River East 21. Admission for most is $10–$13.

For more events, check in with Time Out throughout the day.
