1. EDM producer Bassnectar brings his mini festival experience to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. Single-day passes for Saturday, with support from TroyBoi, Ivy Lab and Andreilien, are still available for $65.

2. The immersive theater production Southern Gothic drops you into the middle of a small-town cocktail party in the 1960s as secrets are revealed. The Windy City Playhouse has just added four more months to the show’s run by popular demand; today’s performances are at 4 and 8pm, and tickets are $65–$85.

3. See a piece of contemporary art history at “Keith Haring: The Chicago Mural.” The free exhibit at the Chicago Cultural Center features the mural created by Haring with Chicago Public Schools students in 1989, along with supplementary material about the late artist and his iconic style. Hours today are 10am to 5pm.
