1. Browse through self-published material from dozens of exhibitors and get tips on producing your own at the ninth annual Chicago Zine Fest. The event takes place at Plumbers Hall from 11am to 6pm, and it’s free to attend.

2. Sample more than 100 wines and learn from sommeliers and brand ambassadors at the fourth annual Lincoln Park Wine Fest. This outdoor gathering takes place at Jonquil Park, two blocks north of the Fullerton El station. There are two sessions to choose from today, noon to 4pm and 6 to 9pm, and tickets start at $50.

3. Canadian country-pop queen Shania Twain is back on tour after releasing her first new album in 15 years, titled Now. But you can expect to hear plenty of her decades-old hits tonight at the United Center. Tickets are still available for the 8pm show, starting at $39.95.
