1. Prolific stand-up comedian Kevin Hart plays his second of two nights at United Center tonight at 7pm. Tickets are still available, starting at $45.50.
2. Magician and performer Neil Tobin engages with questions of mortality in a unique setting in his solo show, Near Death Experience. The performance takes place inside the May Chapel at Rosehill Cemetery and Mausoleum today at 3pm; tickets are $25–$30.
3. The Mercury Theater has taken over the adjacent space formerly home to Cullen’s Bar and Grill and turned it into a cabaret-style performance venue. Dubbed the Venus Cabaret Theater, it’s being christened with an intimate staging of the classic Stephen Sondheim musical Company. Today’s matinee is at 2:30pm, and the $65 tickets include appetizers and dessert.
