1. Surely the first Lyric Opera production to utilize this many hand-held mics, British director Timothy Sheader’s new staging of Jesus Christ Superstar is truly electrifying; with his incredible rendition of “Gethsemane,” Heath Saunders might be the most magnetic Jesus we’ve ever seen in this show (sorry, John Legend). You have eight more chances to see Superstar before it closes this weekend; today’s performance is at 7pm, and tickets start at $49.

2. Madrid garage-pop quartet Hinds plays Lincoln Hall tonight. The Spanish ladies are touring behind their jangly sophomore album, I Don’t Run. The 18-and-up show is at 8pm, and tickets are $16 in advance or $18 at the door.

3. Dance your cares away at Night Moves, a monthly “queer friendly and dance positive” party at Danny’s Tavern, where resident DJs Ross Kelly and Jesse Sandwich spin vinyl gems from the ’70s and ’80s. The tunes start at 10pm, and there’s no cover.
