1. Chicago rock stalwarts the Sea and Cake recently released Any Day, the band’s first album in six years and their 11th overall. Frontman Sam Prekop and company play two shows at the Empty Bottle tonight, with doors opening at 7 and 10pm. Advance tickets for the early show are sold out, but a block of $20 day-of-show tickets for both performances will be available today.

2. The great Druid Theatre Company of Galway, Ireland, returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater this week with its production of Samuel Beckett’s absurdist classic Waiting for Godot. Tonight’s performance at Navy Pier is at 7:45pm, and tickets are $68–$88.

3. Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei’s installation piece “Trace” depicts other activists and prisoners of conscience in portraits made from LEGO bricks. Alphawood Exhibitions is presenting the work in Chicago through June 30. Admission is free, but online reservations are required for timed entry; no walk-ins are allowed.
