Ann Sather

Ann Sather is not the best dinner, lunch or breakfast in town. It may not even be the best diner food. But that doesn’t matter, because Ann Sather has the sweetest cinnamon rolls in the Midwest. If you must, you can order some “real” food—crab cakes Benedict for brunch won’t disappoint, and neither will Swedish specialties, such as the roasted duck with lingonberry glaze. But let’s get real: You’re only after those fluffy cinnamon rolls, which arrive too big for the plate and submerged under warm icing. Luckily for you, they come with almost every order.

Huge fan of Ann Sather! One of my favorite places to go during the weekend and when friends are visiting. Not pricey and the food is always out hot and quick. Typically go to the Boystown location on Broadway because it is generally less crowded than Belmont, but both have very quick and friendly staff.

My favorite menu items at Ann Sather are: Mediterranean Omelet, Crab Cake Benedict, Avocado Delight Wrap and obviously the Cinnamon Rolls.

Huge fan and always going back!

Been here a million times. The food is always solid.
The service is generally good. Sometimes, excellent! Alderman Tom Tunney is the owner and on a couple of occasions I have seen him apron and all seating people at tables, clearing plates, even on his hands and knees wiping up floor spills.

Here are my personal faves
~Monte Cristo breakfast
~Southwestern omelete (something about the salsa is perfection)
~patty sausage is better than what I usually see at most places
~don't forget the sweet rolls

Plus free parking
Expect to have a wait during peak breakfast/brunch periods

The photo of this cinnamon roll doesn't even do it justice. This is the place I go when I'm craving something sweet. With almost any entree you to order a side, and one of those sides are two huge cinnamon rolls! They are delicious and worth making a trip for.
