By all accounts, a place that serves both spicy salmon rolls with tempura crumbs and rice noodles in a subtle, nutty Laotian red curry with ground chicken should not be able to do both well. But the mother-daughter team behind this restaurant defies the odds, bouncing from Thailand to Indonesia to the Philippines to Japan to India without hesitation and with a good degree of skill. Settle into one of the comfortable leather banquettes decorated with black-and-white pillows, pop a bottle of wine, and beware the "chef's signature" sushi: The fun, colorful rolls are dinosaur-sized, and you've got a continent's worth of other food to try.
