Given the bare decor, lackluster ramen (served in Styrofoam containers, even if you're dining in) and uninspiring bento boxes, it's hard to believe this quick-serve offshoot bears any relation to Arami, the West Town gem known for delicate cuts of sushi. Were our expectations too high? Perhaps. But when the highlight of a customizable bento (with proteins like spicy tuna tartar or chicken breast) is the spicy edamame and side of pre-packaged seaweed salad, you're better off hitting nearby Ginza.
