This Chatham tablecloth spot has been serving comfort food for more than 60 years. Start with the seafood platter, a crispy combo of fried scallops, shrimp and oysters. From there, the “Southern specialties” side of the menu is the way to go: The light-brown pan gravy is poured over tender short ribs and pan-fried pork chops, but skip it on the fried chicken. For sides, go with black-eyed peas, cheesy mac and corn-bread stuffing, and sweet-potato pie.
