This is a MUST-TRY restaurant. I can't even count the times I have visited this place. If you are in search for good food, good drinks and a good dessert, this is your spot.
The Duck Mac and Cheese is delicious and super cheesy! If you want something a little lighter, try their salads, which are big enough to share. If you are more of a sweet tooth, definitely try their Bombolonis, which vary in flavors. My favorite one is Mixed Berry combined with a cup of coffee.
I love the atmosphere at Bar Siena -- it is casual with great drink selection and food options. Make a reservation for a nice lunch break. Stop by BomboBar for some gelato as well. It is heaven.
Bar Siena is located along Randolph street in the West Loop neighborhood. The italian themed lunch and dinner spot offers pizza made fresh from the large pizza oven. The menu has other italian favorites like soups, salads, and sandwiches too with entrees that would satisfy anyone's hunger. Bar Siena also offers a small but carefully crafted brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays. Bar Siena has indoor space as well as a great sidewalk patio for diners to choose from.
A friend and I chose to have our Sunday brunch outside on the sunny patio. We were seated fairly quickly and were able to get out drink ordered in quickly. I ordered the mimosa which was tasty but fairly small considering the price and a bit higher than other cocktails in the area. The bloody mary my friend ordered came with a strip of candied bacon that was extremly tasty.
We both ordered the Bombo breakfast sandwhich and were very pleased with the flavor. The salty pork sausage and bacon went perfectly together with the gooey cheese and scrambled eggs. I'm not sure if the bread was homemade or not but it could have easily passed for it. The potatoes that came with it were topped with a tiny bit of parmesan cheese and very tasty.
Bar Siena is a great spot for brunch especially if you're looking to sit outside in the warm months in Chicago.
