Also known as the Family Inn, this self-serve pizza parlor has fed everyone and his mother - and grandmother - in the north burbs over the past forty years.The owners must know that it’s nostalgia more than anything that keeps ‘em comin’ back, because they haven’t changed a thing in the past four decades. They still offer baskets of Ritz crackers and cheese dip while you wait for your order, mugs of Green River, Black Cherry, and Filbert’s Root Beer at the bar, and crispy cornmeal crust pizza topped with homemade sauce, fresh mozzarella, and - if you know what you’re doing - Italian sausage at the counter.
