This former prepared-foods shop is now a full-fledged restaurant that’s carved out a niche with its reservation-only Saturday night “underground” dinners and tasting menu–only format. Value comes via the spot’s BYOB status, and dishes that put season at the forefront but are also consistently creative. The menu changes according to the chef’s whim: Think rhubarb with tea-smoked baby octopus or eggplant Parmesan with tempura fried cheese curds and strawberry marinara. Oh. My. God. Those. Moist. Biscuits. I want to eat here every day, but I'm pretty sure that's not the best idea. Everything is to-die-for here. I don't even know where to begin. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go there tomorrow and just set up camp on the cozy back patio—totally private and quiet depending on what time of day you go. You can also call ahead to order a whole pie and take it home. I'm so hungry.
