With influences that range from Manila to Austin, Joaquin Soler’s barbecue is among the most worldly in the city. But this stuff doesn’t stand out for novelty alone. The smoky chopped brisket is deeply satisfying, partly thanks to the “tiger cry” sauce, a Thai-inspired concoction of lime juice, smoked tomatoes, fish sauce, garlic and more. Like at most food trucks, you’ll spend a little more here than you would for that Subway sandwich, but the flavors and the experience are certainly more memorable.
