It might not be a big-name steakhouse centrally located in a high-rent district, but Carmichael’s is a good choice if you’re on your way to United Center. On-the-ball service and a warm bread basket with a crock of melted cheddar cheese help balance out cuts of beef that tend to be more chewy than melt-in-your-mouth. Sides like garlic mashed potatoes are worth saving room for, but be prepared for a bit of sticker shock when all those yummy add-ons are tallied up.
