If you’re looking for a reason to venture to Willow Springs, look no further than this restaurant’s yard. Situated on a hill lush with shrubbery, flowers and a gazebo, it’s incredibly romantic. In addition to roasting one hell of a succulent rack of lamb, chef Jerome Bacle presents three-course Friday-night tasting menus themed around a single ingredient like apples, fennel or thyme. The latter resulted in mushroom-thyme risotto, roast pork loin and vanilla-bean tapioca with banana-thyme sorbet. All of which is almost—almost—enough to distract you from the view.
