This coffee shop's maroon walls, Christmas lights, mismatched mugs and overstuffed leather couches scream “college-student hangout” (and indeed, Loyola is a block away). But the housemade scones and other pastries, made-to-order sandwiches and Dark Matter coffee suggest the local foodie community is frequenting this Edgewater spot as well. But let’s get back to the scones: If you’re lucky enough to get them fresh from the oven (as we did), you’ll still be fantasizing about the gooey, crumbly Nutella version days later (as we are).
