A restaurant on the first floor of the famously pink Edgewater Beach Apartments building can’t help but have a majestic (if slightly dated) feel to it. And while this dining room might not inspire as much awe as the building’s grand lobby, it nevertheless feels stately and old-school (and sometimes just plain old). We thought maybe this place would be running on history alone, but the food was surprisingly solid: Shrimp was perfectly juicy (which is good since it’s in every single appetizer), tournedos of beef were tender enough not to require a knife, and the trout was finished with a sprightly lemon-caper sauce.
