The dining room is frumpy at this family-owned Turkish kitchen, but what’s always in fashion are the terrific prices for generous servings of tasty eats. Even a simple eza gelin (lentil soup) has layers of flavors. A third of the nearly 40 main dishes are vegetarian (check out the sweet-potato crust on the amazing vegetable moussaka or the chile-hot ezme, a snappy appetizer of peppers, tomatoes and walnuts). Relax on plush, Arabian Nights–style pillows at four stout tables along the south wall.
