El Potosi

This tiny taco shanty gives a splash of psychedelic color to an otherwise sober and gray stretch of Elston Avenue. Heroes of the Mexican Revolution peer at you from photos as you chow on made-to-order guacamole, unique barbacoa beef tacos and breakfast (egg and chorizo) burritos. On the weekends, folks flock here for restorative bowls of menudo and posole. The tiny dining room can’t squeeze in more than nine people, but the front porch will accommodate any overflow during nicer weather.
