Wonderful location and owners! Coffee one right! Well thought out layout with lots of outlets.


Highest quality service. Friendly and prompt. Amazing Fall Spice Latte. Owner cares about quality and knows his coffee. Love this place.


Great baristas and a friendly environment. This place welcomes everyone and has some of the best flavors you can get in a cup.


The best coffee. Single origin coffee from around the world, brewed perfectly. The pour over using a Chemex is worth it every time.


I've never been a big fan of coffee, but an employee, Stephen, took the time to really explain the process and the benefits of different beans. For someone new to Chicago, the kindness and service makes a huge difference.

Ellipsis is simply fantastic. The use of arguably the best and most reliable roasters in the country (Counter Culture), the consistently good choice of music playing as the background for work or study or conversation, and the gregariousness of the owner and employees easily made this my home coffee shop.

Not only my favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood, but also across the entire city. And the reason why is so plain and simple. The baristas here are top notch. Creating the best espresso and coffee is the main priority here. When you make it out to Ellipsis to experience it for yourself, don't miss their cortado.
