Things that may surprise you about this beef- and pork-free spot in the South Loop: First, that each order takes roughly 15 minutes to prepare, since, despite the fast-food atmosphere, dishes such as the turkey burger and turkey meatball sandwich are cooked to order. Second, there's the fine-dining touches that grace some of these dishes—a mango-bourbon sauce for the salmon, for example. But the biggest surprise may be that despite these touches, and despite the time taken cooking, the solid fare here never quite escapes its quick-service surroundings.
